PAINESVILLE, Ohio, October 8, 2009 - When LakeEast Medical Center officially closes on October 21 at 7 a.m., Lake Health will open a temporary Quick Care Center in downtown Painesville to provide patients with non-emergency care. The Quick Care Center will be located at 74 South Park Place next door to Subway.
The center, which will be staffed by a physician, will offer walk-in medical services and extended hours to patients with sore throats, ear infections, simple wounds and other non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The center will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
In spring 2010, Lake Health will open a full-service urgent care center in the Chase building in downtown Painesville. Along with walk-in medical services, the state-of-the-art facility will offer X-ray, laboratory services, occupational health services, and drug and alcohol testing for employers. The Painesville Urgent Care Center will also be home to a Lake Health Physician Group internal medicine practice.
