Speech-language Pathology

Making effective communication a human right, accessible and achievable for all.

Sometimes referred to as speech therapy, speech-language pathology addresses the speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing skills of children and adults. Therapists typically treat the following issues:

  • Articulation
  • Stuttering
  • Repetitions
  • Prolonged sounds and syllables
  • Pitch and volume problems
  • Voice quality

The Lake Health speech-language pathologists have had specialized training in Deep Pharyngeal Neuromuscular Stimulation (DPNS), a technique proven to be highly effective for certain types of swallowing disorders.

Speech-language Pathology is available at West Medical Center (440-953-6036) and TriPoint Medical Center (440-354-1626). To schedule an appointment, call the location of your choice.
