Make a Portable Gym

Do you often times skip a workout because you are going on vacation or out of town for the weekend and won't have access to your usual gym or exercise routine? Make yourself a portable gym and you will no longer have an excuse to skip a workout. Pack these times just as you would your clothes for the trip. Items to pack for your portable gym:

  • Resistance band
  • Workout DVDs (use in your computer or portable DVD player)
  • Workout shoes
  • Workout Clothes
  • Water bottles- 2 for hand weights and one to rehydrate
  • Heart Rate Monitor-to make sure you are in your target heart rate zone
  • Swimsuit (swim or do water walking, running or aerobics)
  • Don’t forget, you can always use the stairs as a part of your workout too.

Not interested in packing a portable gym, then look for a hotel that offers a fitness center or pool.
