The Medline Plus Tutorials may require that your computer have sound capabilities and various media players. The tutorials are interactive health education resources. Using graphics each tutorial explains a procedure or condition in easy-to-read language. You can also listen to the tutorial.

MedlinePlus Surgery Videos en Espanol

The MedlinePlus Surgery Videos link to prerecorded webcasts of surgical procedures. These are actual operations performed at medical centers in the United States since January 2004. The videos last an hour. Please note that you cannot send in questions by email, though the webcast may say that you can, because you are not seeing these videos live.

Links to many pertinent websites are selected for their usefulness and appropriateness.  Other tools include Cancer Facts, Calculators, Risk Assessment Tools.  Access to this database is available from within the Lake Health Resource Center only.
