Lake Health Board of Trustees Elect Officers

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, April 28, 2010 - At their annual organizational meeting, the Lake Health Board of Trustees announced that 11-year board member Susan Tullai-McGuinness, RN, PhD has been elected Chair. The other officers elected were Vice Chair Bruce M. Kephart, Treasurer Greg D. Taylor and Secretary Daniel B. Cudnik, MD.
Other members of the Lake Health Board of Trustees include John F. Platz, who was chair the past four years; Timothy P. Doyle, MD; Lillie Mae Wilson; Thomas P. Jubeck; I. James Hackenberg, Esq; and Robert G. Schiebli.

Lake Health Will Host a Free Skin Cancer Screening In May

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, OH, April 27, 2010 - According to the American Academy of Dermatology, skin cancer is the most prevalent of all cancers. It is estimated that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime. In fact, in 2009 nearly 68,720 people are expected to be diagnosed with melanoma, the most serious form of skin cancer. However, like the less aggressive skin cancers basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas, melanoma is almost always curable when detected in its early stages.
On Saturday, May 8, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lake Health will host its FREE annual skin cancer screening at the Lake/University Ireland Cancer Center, 9485 Mentor Ave., Mentor.

Lake Health to host Physician Pavilion Community Open House at TriPoint Medical Center

CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, April 20 - Lake Health will host a FREE Community Open House on Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the TriPoint Medical Center Physician Pavilion, 7580 Auburn Rd. in Concord Township.
The Physician Pavilion, which is adjacent to TriPoint Medical Center, is home to The Wellness Institute, Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Community Health Center, the Carol DeJoy Lake Health Resource Center, the Lubrizol Conference Center, and Lake Health offices.
