Lake Health Wins Bronze Healthy Ohioans-Healthy Worksite Award
CONCORD TWP., OH, March 3, 2010 – On February 17 the Office of Healthy Ohio awarded Lake Health with the Bronze Healthy Ohioans-Healthy Worksite Award. More than 80 companies, cities and townships applied for the 2009 award which recognizes Ohio employers that demonstrate a commitment to employee health through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs. Twenty-two Ohio businesses were recognized.
Lake Health was recognized for initiating wellness programs for team members including Yoga, Pilates, and Meditation, and continuing the Get Healthy Lake Health program, which is a comprehensive wellness program that includes awareness, identification and recruitment of team members, peer wellness coaching and creating a healthier workplace environment. Through Get Healthy Lake Health, team members are encouraged to complete a health risk assessment with biometric screenings and participate in wellness coaching to develop wellness goals. Wellness coaching takes place over a six-month period with weekly and then monthly contact with a wellness coach.
Other wellness activities offered through Get Healthy Lake Health include a five-month B Fit 4 Life corporate challenge, a 12-week walking challenge called “315 to Lean,” personal health profiles, medical nutrition therapy, the Weight 4 Life weight management program, and annual employee health fairs.

Lake Health Named An American Heart Association Fit-Friendly Company
CONCORD TWP., Ohio, February 17— For the second year in a row, Lake Health was named a Start! Gold Fit-Friendly Company from the American Heart Association (AHA) for championing the health of employees by creating a culture of wellness in the workplace.
The “Gold-level” recognition is for companies that fulfill criteria such as offering employees physical activity support; increasing healthy food in cafeterias and vending machines; promoting a wellness culture; and implementing a designated number of activities in physical fitness, nutrition and cultural areas.

Lake Health Physicians Move into the Physician Pavilion at TriPoint Medical Center
CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, February 15, 2010 — Drs. Daniel Hofius and Daniel Modarelli of Lake Health Physician Group Northcoast Family Practice are the latest physician group to open offices in the Physician Pavilion at TriPoint Medical Center, which offers convenient access to primary care and specialty physicians along with a host of unique programs and services.
Over the past few months several Lake Health physicians have opened offices in the four-story Physician Pavilion, which opened in October, including Eastside ENT (Drs. Samuel Kerns, Michael Gaugler, Kenneth Vito and E. Luke Bold); Dr. Karen Grassie; Drs. Timothy Doyle, Marc Schrode and John Samsa; and Lake Obstetrics & Gynecology (Dr. Paul Jones, Dr. Patrick Quinn, Dr. James Guerrieri, Dr. Janice Wilbur and Dr. Rosemary Brownlee).
The Physician Pavilion, which is adjacent to TriPoint Medical Center, is also home to various outpatient care centers and clinics, a conference center, and Lake Health offices.
