Lake Health Rehabilitation and Wellness is Relocating to Fitworks Fitness Center in Mentor
Concord Township, OH, June 28, 2010 - On July 2, 2010, Lake Health Rehabilitation and Wellness will move to Fitworks Fitness Center in Mentor from its current location inside the Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club.
Lake Health Rehabilitation and Wellness provides physical therapy services, with an emphasis on orthopedics and sports medicine, as part of Lake Health’s Orthopedic and Spine Center. Licensed physical therapists treat patients with musculoskeletal conditions, such as injuries from an accident, postural changes from osteoporosis, work-related injuries, stroke-related deficiencies, sports injuries and more.
Located at 9170 Mentor Avenue in the Kmart Plaza, the new space on the ground floor inside Fitworks will offer easy access and close parking for therapy patients along with private treatment rooms to provide privacy. Physical therapists will also have access to brand new, state-of-the-art exercise equipment in 3,000 square feet of space, more than the 2,100 square feet of space they had at the Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club.
Lake Health Earns The 2010/2011 Women's Health Excellence Award From Healthgrades
CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, June 9, 2010 - According to the HealthGrades Seventh Annual Women's Health in American Hospitals study, Lake Health is one of only 166 hospitals in the nation with patient outcomes for women that are in the top 5%. As a result, Lake Health earned the HealthGrades Women's Health Excellence Awardä for the second consecutive year.
The study by HealthGrades, the nation's leading independent health care ratings organization, analyzed close to 7 million hospitalization records at nearly 5,000 hospitals to identify top-performing hospitals.
"It's an honor to receive the Women's Health Excellence Award and to be ranked among the top 5% in the nation for women's health," said Cynthia Moore-Hardy, FACHE, president and CEO of Lake Health. "Receiving this award for the second consecutive year is a testament to our outstanding physicians, nurses and staff who are dedicated to ensuring that women in Lake County and surrounding areas receive the best possible care close to home."
As a group, hospitals receiving the Women's Health Excellence Awardä award had women's risk-adjusted mortality rates that were 41% lower than the poorest performing hospitals in the study and complication rates that were 19% lower than the poorest performers. Lake Health Honored With Eight National Marketing Awards
CONCORD TWP., May 24, 2010 - Honored for excellence in health care advertising, Lake Health received eight national health care marketing awards, four from the Aster Awards and four from the Healthcare Advertising Awards competitions for its work last year related to changing its identity from Lake Hospital System to Lake Health and the opening of TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
In the Aster Awards competition, Lake Health was honored with one gold and three silver award recognitions. Lake Health won gold in Newspaper Advertising - Special Tabloid for the News-Herald TriPoint Medical Center Gatefold promoting the opening of TriPoint; silver in Special Events for the TriPoint Medical Center Community Open House, which attracted 7,000 community members who wanted to see the new state-of-the-art healing hospital; silver in Virtual Tours for the TriPoint Medical Center Virtual Tours that can be viewed on www.lakehealth.org, and silver in Pocket Folder for the newly redesigned Lake Health Corporate Pocket Folder.
The Aster Awards, one of the largest national competitions of its kind, is hosted by Marketing Healthcare Today Magazine and Creative Images, Inc. and recognizes outstanding health care professionals for excellence in their advertising/marketing efforts.
