Lake Health provides emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township, West Medical Center in Willoughby, and the Madison Emergency Department in Madison.
At all three facilities, we offer highly trained staffs and the latest medical advances to treat any crisis from a minor mishap to a life-threatening emergency. Tripoint and West Medical Centers are accredited Chest Pain Centers and Certified Primary Stroke Centers. We provide state-of-the-art treatment, including clot-dissolving drugs for heart attacks and strokes. What’s more, our physicians are board certified and trained in emergency medicine. That’s not the case at all hospitals.
The Lake Health Emergency Departments provide social workers around the clock to ensure that patients with mental health issues are evaluated promptly and either admitted or referred for treatment, thanks to a grant from the Lake County ADAMHS (Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services) Board.
The Lake County ADAMHS Board has created an innovative, user-friendly entry point for those who find themselves in need of behavioral health services called The Compass Line.
A call to the Compass Line - at 440-918-2000 or 440-350-2000 – puts people in touch with a trained ADAMHS system triage specialist who helps them sort through feelings and symptoms, explore and explain options, and get connected firmly and quickly with the resources they need. The Compass Line is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
The partnership between Lake Health and the ADAMHS Board ensures that our patients receive the highest quality mental health care day and night. The availability of emergency mental health services also has an economic benefit by shortening or even averting the need for hospitalization for many people undergoing a psychiatric crisis.
