New at the LakeHealth/University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center in 2011 is the use of an electronic prescription system. The use of this new system allows our clinical staff to view a patient's prescription information from multiple historic pharmacies, as well as generate a current medication list.
Not only does our electronic prescription system transmit patient prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of choice, it provides information on appropriate alternatives, allergies and requirements for insurance authorization from a patient's drug plan.
