Start Your Day with stretching
Mornings can be tough, but waking up slow with some light stretching and relaxing music can help you prepare for your day. It’s also a good way to wind down at the end of a long day, or prepare for more demanding physical activity or labor. Stretching helps improve flexibility and reduce certain injuries.Stretching is also a great way to reduce stress.
Consider trying one of the following classes to help you incorporate stretching into your daily routine:
- Sunrise Yoga-West Medical Center
- Gentle Stretch Yoga-Wellness Institute TriPoint
- Gentle Yoga-Wellness Institute TriPoint
- Open Level Yoga or Lunchtime Open Level Yoga-Wellness Institute TriPoint

Park further away & walk
When out shopping over the next few weeks, park your vehicle farther out in the parking lot where you don’t have to fight for spots. You’ll save on gas and have fewer headaches while also increasing your activity. Wear a pedometer to help you track your daily steps. The goal is 10,000 steps per day. Keeping a daily log of your steps is a great way to motivate you to do a few more steps each day.
