We're Here for You through Thick and Thin
If you're taking a blood thinner, you should be monitored regularly to make sure your blood isn't too thick or too thin. Lake Health's prothrombin "pro-time" clinic can help.
Our nurse practitioner will gently administer a test prick to be sure that your clotting is on track. If it is, you'll be quickly on your way. If your test shows that your clotting time needs adjusting, the nurse will answer your questions and make necessary adjustment to your medication on the spot.
The Anticoagulation Clinic is located at West Medical Center and TriPoint Medical Center. When you come, bring your insurance card, a "pro-time" prescription from your physician, the name of your medication, the dosage, and how often you take it.
