First Baby Born At TriPoint Medical Center Receives Lake Erie College Scholarship
CONCORD TOWNSHIP, Ohio, October 22, 2009 - New parents Kayla Larbig and Ben Parsons of Windsor Township have a lot to celebrate. Their son Ayden—the first baby born at Lake Health’s new TriPoint Medical Center—will be able to attend college for free thanks to a generous four-year, full-tuition scholarship from Lake Erie College.
Ayden, who weighed in at 7 pounds and was 20 inches long, was born at 9:50 a.m. on October 21—the first day TriPoint Medical Center opened.

Lake Health Partners With Lake County Fire Departments And EMS To Prepare For Mass Patient Move
PAINESVILLE, Ohio, October 12, 2009 - When Lake Health’s $155 million TriPoint Medical Center opens on October 21, all patients at LakeEast Medical Center in Painesville will be transported via ambulance to the new hospital in Concord Township. Lake Health has spent more than a year diligently planning and collaborating with Lake County fire departments and emergency medical services to ensure that patients are moved safely and comfortably, while protecting their privacy.
"It's an extremely complex task to transfer an acute health facility to a new building while providing seamless and uninterrupted patient care," said Cynthia Moore-Hardy, FACHE, president and chief executive officer of Lake Health. "Our transition planning team has worked closely with Lake County fire departments and EMS so that our all of our patients will receive compassionate, high quality care throughout the process."
Lake Health To Open Quick Care Center in Painesville October 21
PAINESVILLE, Ohio, October 8, 2009 - When LakeEast Medical Center officially closes on October 21 at 7 a.m., Lake Health will open a temporary Quick Care Center in downtown Painesville to provide patients with non-emergency care. The Quick Care Center will be located at 74 South Park Place next door to Subway.
The center, which will be staffed by a physician, will offer walk-in medical services and extended hours to patients with sore throats, ear infections, simple wounds and other non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The center will be open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Lake Health To Host Community Open House At TriPoint Medical Center On October 17
PAINESVILLE, Ohio, October 7, 2009 - Lake Health will host a community open house on Saturday, October 17, 2009, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at its new $155 million TriPoint Medical Center located at 7590 Auburn Road in Concord Township.
Built from the ground up to enhance healing and wellness and improve patient safety, TriPoint features the latest, life-saving technology and an evidence-based patient- and family-centered environment. From the elegant interior filled with natural light and private patient rooms with views of natural greenery and streams to the healing gardens and dedicated family areas, everything about TriPoint is designed to increase patient comfort and speed healing. TriPoint will open to patients on October 21, 2009.
