WHAT: Lake Health will host an interactive and educational Runner's Clinic for running enthusiasts—from the weekend jogger to the marathon caliber athlete. The clinic will focus on injury prevention, training, achieving peak performance and nutrition.
The Runner's Clinic will feature speakers with the latest information on Common Strains and Pains, the Benefits of Sports Massage, How to Prevent and Treat Runner's Knee, Pilates for Runners, Proper Sports Nutrition, Common Hip and Thigh Injuries, and Yoga for Runners.
Free screenings will also be offered including Visual Gait Analysis, Posture Screenings, Podiatrist Foot Screenings, Body Composition Testing, and Balance Screenings. Injury Assessments, Chair Massages, Stretching Techniques will also be featured.

The new health care law includes a significant number of changes that will affect Medicare over the next few years. Some of these changes went into effect on January 1, 2011. Preventive services have shown to benefit overall health by identifying and addressing risk factors that can be managed and treated before they become major problems. Lake Health recommends that patients discuss with their physician which preventive services may be right for them.
For patients who are in a Medicare Advantage Plan or have other insurance, their costs may be different.
